About Mississauga

With over 713,000 people, and over 112 square miles Mississauga is Canada’s sixth-most populous city. The cultural diversity contributes greatly to its personality.

With an average, post-tax, monthly income of $3,200, Mississauga is an affluent area with plenty of parks, culture, and restaurants. It is also culturally diverse. English is spoken as the mother tongue of nearly 50% of the population, and other common languages include: Urdu, Polish, Punjabi, Arabic, Tagalog, and Portuguese.

Christianity is the majority faith of the city. According to the 2011 Census, 60% of the population practices some type of Christianity, with Catholicism being the most popular. Other prominent religions include Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, and Buddhism. Mississauga also has 15% of its population that claim no religious population.
