Mississauga Marinas

mississauga marinaThe marinas in Mississauga are well known as one of the most popular local attractions for outdoor activities. Aside from being a place to park boats, they’re situated on scenic coastline that is always a pleasure to behold. There are 2 major marinas, each with its own unique appeal.

Credit Village Marina

The Credit Village Marina can be found, as you may have guessed from its name, near the Village of Port Credit. It’s an ideal place for boats as long as 45 feet to dock. Some owners keep their craft at the marina on a seasonal basis, while others dock more temporarily.

The nearby village is has an atmosphere of an older town, with quaint decorations and plenty of older buildings. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not a modern town, with new construction to accommodate for the popularity of the area as a place to go shopping, dining and recreation. It’s a great place to spend a day with family and friends.

Lakefront Promenade Marina

Unlike the older style of the Credit Village Marina, the Lakefront Promenade was built more recently. It’s also a more popular destination, as it’s in one of the most scenic and beautiful parks on Lake Ontario. In addition to top of the line docking facilities, this is the place to go for outdoor recreational activities such as picnics, barbecues, playgrounds for children, cycling, skating and more. The Lakefront Promenade is truly in the spirit of Mississauga, providing a large area of public land for the benefit of all the city’s residents and visitors.

Both of Mississauga’s marinas emphasize environmental responsibility in boating practices. The marinas are Clean Marine certified, indicating that the highest standards of cleanliness are being met.
